Social Media Is Bad For You
Photo Credits: Book Catalog In a recent blog post from Shalina Chand, she wrote about how she thinks that social media is great for users' health and I disagree with her statement, along with her evidence. Chand speaks on how social media allows people to express themselves and communicate with others which is true, however just because you can do so doesn’t mean that it will result in a positive experience. Social media is a toxic cesspool when it comes to opinions. You can be attacked for the simplest things such as disagreeing with a call by a referee in a sporting event or be hit with racist and homophobic slurs when discussing your opinion on why you disliked a certain character in a show. This topic was clear, and I appreciated the subtitles for the interview. I think the cutaway shots could have been shorter.
ReplyDeleteHello Liam, I thought your video assignment was very well done! I think you did a great job showing the problem with the interview and cutaway shots. One thing you can improve for next time is the length of your cutaway shots as they were a bit too long, but other than that I think you did a great job!
ReplyDeleteHey Liam,
ReplyDeleteYou did a awsome job! The data and facts gleaned from the video are very interesting and can help viewers better understand the history and current state of marijuana in Canada. I hope more people can see this video and enhance their knowledge on this topic. The only thing I think could be improved is to describe a little more about the effects of marijuana on physical and mental health, and your video will definitely be more complete!
Great job, Liam! Your video was very effective in showcasing the issue, and the use of interview and cutaway shots added depth and context to the problem. One suggestion for improvement would be to consider shortening some of the cutaway shots, as they may have been a bit lengthy and affected the overall pacing of the video. Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing more of your videos in the future!
